Yellow Label is the house signature, blended from fifty to sixty different crus with up to 45% reserve wines. Pinot Noir gives it strength, Chardonnay freshness, and a touch of Meunier the fruit.
Tasting Notes
Golden yellow with fine bubbles. White and yellow fruit on the nose, pear, apple and peach, with citrus notes of mandarin and grapefruit, pastry aromas of brioche and croissant, and a hint of dried fruit. The four dimensions that define the Veuve Clicquot style all show here: freshness, strength, aromatic richness and silkiness. A minimum of three years on lees builds the aromatic depth and the silky texture.

About the Producer
Veuve Clicquot takes its name from Barbe-Nicole Clicquot Ponsardin, widowed at 27 in 1805 and left to run the house alone at a time when almost no women ran businesses in France. She invented the riddling table, the method still used to clarify Champagne today, and produced the first known blended rosé Champagne in 1818. The distinctive yellow label was registered in 1877.
