About this wine
A zero-sulphur Bergerac rouge from Château Tour des Gendres, blending Merlot, Malbec, and Cabernet Franc from organically farmed clay-limestone soils, made purely for pleasure, to drink young with food or friends.
Serve at 14 to 16°C, or slightly chilled on a warm day.
Tasting notes
Red and dark berries on the nose: redcurrant, blackberry, blackcurrant, cherry. On the palate the Cantalouette is crisp yet velvety with rounded tannins and the same red berry freshness. Long cool maceration keeps the structure light and the finish clean. Delicious and unpretentious.
Goes with
Barbecued meats, grilled lamb, and casual summer meals. This is a vin de repas, simple, convivial, best drunk young.

The producer
Chateau Tour des Gendres / Albert de Conti is the estate of Luc de Conti, a third-generation Italian family settled in Ribagnac in the Bergerac region since 1981. Farming organically from 1996, certified in 2009, the estate is now run by Gilles and Margaux de Conti. Their wines range from the everyday Cantalouette to the flagship Moulin des Dames, always with the same commitment to expressing the terroir of their corner of south-west France.
