A Barolo from Elio Altare's Cannubi cru — perhaps the most famous single vineyard in the entire Barolo denomination, producing a wine that is warm and elegant with silky tannins and the fresh rose petal and flower nose that defines Altare's signature modernist style.
Tasting Notes
Fresh rose petals and flowers on the nose. Warm and elegant, smooth, soft, silky tannins on the palate — the Cannubi character at its most refined. Cannubi is the grand cru of Barolo: a gently sloping, south-facing hillside in the centre of the denomination that consistently produces wines of extraordinary balance and finesse. Altare's modernist touch makes it accessible young while preserving decades of ageing potential.
