Dom Pérignon is made only in years the house judges worth declaring, and every bottle is a single vintage. It is named after the Benedictine monk who was cellar master at the abbey of Hautvillers and whose work on blending shaped the Champagne we drink today.
Tasting Notes
Bright golden with fine, persistent bubbles. Notes of citrus, stone fruit, toasted brioche, almond and delicate smoke, with hints of white flowers. Silky and layered on the palate with vibrant acidity, a creamy texture and flavours of citrus, hazelnut, minerality and subtle spice. The finish is long, precise and elegantly structured. Dom Pérignon is released after long ageing on lees, and the house later releases the same wine again as Plénitude bottlings after far longer in the cellar.

Dom Pérignon is the prestige cuvée of Moët & Chandon, named after Pierre Pérignon, the Benedictine monk who served as cellar master at the abbey of Hautvillers in the late 17th century and whose work on blending and clarity laid the foundations of modern Champagne. The house produces only vintage wines.
