La Joie is the Cabernet Sauvignon of the three Vérité wines, the one modelled on the left bank of Bordeaux, made from hillside blocks in Sonoma by the Gascon winemaker Pierre Seillan.
Tasting Notes
The opulence of blackcurrant, cedar and tobacco, culminating in a structured palate that captures the heart of Sonoma County. Cabernet Sauvignon dominant with Merlot and Cabernet Franc, in the Médoc proportion, but with the ripeness that Californian hillsides give. Firmly structured and built for the long term rather than for immediate pleasure.

About the Producer
Vérité was founded in Sonoma County in 1998 by Jess Jackson and the French winemaker Pierre Seillan, with the aim of making Bordeaux-inspired wines from Californian hillside sites. Seillan divides the vineyards into a large number of very small blocks, which he calls micro-crus, and vinifies each separately. The estate produces three wines: La Muse, La Joie and Le Désir.
