About this wine
A biodynamic Saint-Aubin rouge from Domaine Derain, made from old vines in the Le Ban lieu-dit, light ruby, delicate, and finely structured, with red cherry, cranberry, and rose petal on the nose and silky tannins on a fresh, elegant finish.
Open 15 minutes before serving.
Tasting notes
Light ruby with translucent clarity. Red cherry, cranberry, rose petals, and subtle spice on the nose with earthy undertones. Silky and lifted on the palate with bright natural acidity, fine tannins, and flavours of red berries, soft herbs, and gentle minerality leading to a fresh, elegant finish. Saint-Aubin rouge rarely gets the attention of its white counterpart, at this level of precision, it deserves it.
Goes with
Roasted chicken, charcuterie, mushroom dishes, grilled fish, and vegetable tarts.
