Gérard Bertrand Château Villemajou Corbières, from the estate at the heart of Boutenac, old vines on deep gravel and limestone giving ripe fruit, Mediterranean herbs and gentle spice in a red of real balance and regional character.
Tasting Notes
Bright and luminous in the glass. Ripe fruit on the nose with floral tones, subtle spice and the garrigue herb character that runs through the best Corbières. Smooth and balanced on the palate with layered fruit and refined structure, closing long and harmonious. This is the estate bottling below the Boutenac cru wine, made from the same biodynamically farmed vineyards on deep gravel and limestone soils, and it shows the house style at a more approachable weight.
