Chardonnay from a single estate with its own appellation. Arínzano was granted Vino de Pago status in 2007, the first in northern Spain, meaning the designation covers this one property and no other land.
Tasting Notes
Lively straw yellow with greenish reflections. Complex and vibrant on the nose, with citrus zest of lemon and orange, exotic fruit of pear and mango, balsamic hints of peppermint and honey, and delicate notes of toasted almond, hazelnut and white pepper. Creamy yet fresh on the palate, with an oily texture and a highly persistent, balanced finish. Twelve months of ageing, 70% in stainless steel and 30% in new French oak, keeps the fruit at the front while adding texture.

About the Producer
Arínzano lies in a valley split by the river Ega in Tierra Estella, Navarra, where vines have been worked for close to a thousand years. In 2007 it became the first estate in northern Spain granted Vino de Pago status, its own appellation covering one property alone. The estate runs to 355 hectares with 125 under vine, farmed sustainably in a conservation programme designed with WWF.
