La Rioja Alta | El Camino
Description

El Camino is Torre de Oña's first artisanal wine — sourced from three tiny old-vine parcels in Elvillar, Rioja Alavesa, averaging 80 years of age, producing only 4,000 bottles — spicy and energetic with wild Mediterranean herbs, chalky minerality, and layers of black cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate on a refined, age-worthy palate.

Tasting Notes
Deep ruby with violet hues. Aromatically complex nose of blackberry, plum, raspberry, and balsamic herbs, with oak in a supporting role. Spicy and energetic on the palate with wild Mediterranean herbs, chalky minerality, and layers of black cherry, raspberry, and pomegranate. Delicate yet structured, with a chalky texture and enveloping flow before a long, balanced finish of fruit and oak. Concentrated but never heavy — a refined Rioja Alavesa with real ageing potential. Only made in outstanding vintages.
