Named for the year 1130, when the Cité de Carcassonne was already a working medieval city and its slopes were already under vine. Deep ruby with purple highlights, ripe plum and black cherry over soft spice and cocoa.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby with purple highlights. Ripe plum, black cherry, soft spice and hints of cocoa on the nose. Smooth and round on the palate with supple tannins and flavours of dark berries, mocha and gentle herbs, finishing balanced, warm and fruit forward. Merlot ripens generously in the Languedoc sun, and the inland altitude at Carcassonne is what stops it turning heavy.

The Héritage range takes its names from dates in the region's history, each bottle tied to the moment its appellation or grape enters the record.
