Mersel Red Velvet, an easy drinking light red made whole cluster from Cinsaut in the Bekaa, built deliberately to be served cold like a white wine rather than at room temperature.
Tasting Notes
An easy drinking light red, made whole cluster and bottled young. It was created to be enjoyed cold, much like a white, and that is genuinely how it shows best. Expect bright, juicy red fruit and very little tannin, refreshing rather than serious. Fermented natively in a sealed concrete tank for up to two weeks, pressed off skins, then a further week of fermentation before natural malolactic.
