Spier Creative Block 2 from South Africa's Stellenbosch and Durbanville, pale straw with lime hints, gooseberries and white peach on the nose with underlying notes of fynbos and white asparagus, tropical and mineral on the palate with a long, tight, and structured finish. 92 points Tim Atkin.
Tasting Notes
Pale straw with hints of lime on the edge. Gooseberries, limes, and white peaches reveal their tropical character on the nose, while underlying notes of fynbos and a touch of white asparagus deliver serious depth. The palate is young and tropical, leading to a long, mineral tail that is tight and structured. Creative Block 2 is a Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon blend, the classic Bordeaux white pairing applied to South Africa's finest terroirs.
