The estate red from Château St. Thomas, a Bordeaux blend with Syrah grown high in the Bekaa Valley, where the mountain herbs of the surrounding hillsides show up in the glass as conifer, rosemary and spice.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red. Aromatic and complex, with nuances of conifer, spice, rosemary, ginger and chocolate. Rich and full bodied on the palate with round, well integrated tannins and a generous, structured profile. Notes of ripe blackcurrant, minty herbs and exotic spices add depth and character. The herbal, resinous quality is characteristic of Bekaa reds and comes from the wild vegetation of the valley slopes.
