A powerful Bekaa Valley red from Domaine De Baal, blending Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Syrah — a wine of gorgeous violet, cassis, and graphite complexity on the nose and a high-acid, fruit-forward palate of blackberries, cherry, and mushroom that demands a serious meal.
Tasting Notes
Gorgeous nose of violets, pine needles, cassis, and graphite. A powerhouse on the palate, fruit-forward with blackberries, cherry, and saucy plum tomato, but also with very high acidity that keeps the wine alive and structured. Cherry pit, sous-bois, and mushroom on the long finish. A serious, age-worthy Lebanese red.
