About this wine
Tempranillo from Castilla-La Mancha, the vast high plateau south of Madrid that grows more vines than any other region on earth, and where the continental extremes give the wines more freshness than the latitude suggests.
Open fifteen minutes before pouring.
Tasting notes
Deep ruby. Cassis and blackcurrant on the nose with vanilla and a touch of cocoa, alongside subtle notes of strawberry, red cherry and warm spices of nutmeg and cinnamon. Smooth and rounded on the palate with mild blackcurrant flavours and a soft, elegant finish. Balanced and approachable rather than demanding, and easy to drink young.
Goes with
Grilled or roast beef and lamb, mild stews, vegetable dishes, tomato-based sauces, and soft to semi-aged cheeses.
