Pheasant&
Description

A red field blend from Pheasant's Tears combining Goruli Mtsvane and Danakharuli — two rarely seen Georgian indigenous red varieties made together in qvevri with zero added sulphur, producing a light, aromatic red of distinctive Georgian character.

Tasting Notes
Light to medium ruby with natural haze. Goruli Mtsvane is a red grape unrelated to the white Mtsvane — fragrant and aromatic with red cherry, fresh herb, and a distinctive floral lift. The Danakharuli adds a spiced, mineral depth. Together in qvevri, they produce a red wine of real individuality: light, aromatic, and savoury, with a long, mineral finish. A wine for anyone willing to step beyond the familiar.

About the Producer
Pheasant's Tears was founded in 2007 by Georgian painter and winemaker Gela Patalishvili and American artist John Wurdeman in Tibaani, Kakheti. One of the most celebrated natural wine estates in Georgia, they revived traditional qvevri winemaking using ancient clay amphorae buried in the earth, and have become a global reference point for Georgian natural wine and the country's extraordinary indigenous varieties.
