James Erskine's classic McLaren Vale Grenache, made with zero sulphur and absolute minimal intervention — wild, smoky, perfumed, and a little bit effervescent, with spiced berries and a long earthy finish that captures everything that makes South Australian Grenache so compelling.
Tasting Notes
Wild, smoky berries on the nose with a highly perfumed, spiced character. Mild tannins and a long finish. A tiny natural effervescence lifts the richer, earthier notes and keeps everything fresh. The fruit-bomb descriptor is accurate but undersells it — there is real complexity here from old vines and a winemaker who trusts his fruit completely.

About the Producer
James Erskine is one of the founders of the natural wine movement in Australia, making wine from McLaren Vale in the Adelaide Hills under the Jauma label. All wines are organic, unsulphured, and completely natural. He describes his approach as the Australian equivalent of what the great natural wine producers of Europe have been doing for decades.
