A Sandeman Fine Tawny Port from the Douro Valley — clear red amber with vanilla and evolved dried fruits on the nose, and an elegant harmony of fresh red fruits and wood-aged complexity in the mouth, a classic Tawny that rewards the dessert table as much as the cheese board.
Tasting Notes
Clear red amber in colour with a light intense body. Open aromas of vanilla and evolved dried fruits. The elegant harmony of fresh red fruit flavours and the complexity of wood ageing unfold in the mouth with a good finish. More oxidative and nutty in character than the Ruby, with greater complexity from the prolonged wood contact. Ready to drink, no decanting required.
