A single-variety Croatina from Valli Unite's Tortona Hills, an under-appreciated Piedmontese grape that produces wines of vivid ruby colour, dark fruit, and a firm tannic grip that makes it one of the most food-friendly wines in the cooperative's range.
Tasting Notes
Intense ruby red. The nose is vinous and expressive with dark plum, cherry, and earthy mineral notes. On the palate it is dry, full-bodied, and pleasantly bitter in the finish — the Croatina characteristic that rewards food rather than solo sipping. Spontaneous fermentation and minimal intervention give it a raw, honest energy.

About the Producer
Valli Unite is a cooperative of 35 producers founded in 1981 in the Tortona Hills of Piedmont, farming 100 hectares across 35 members with a shared commitment to organic viticulture and natural winemaking. Since converting to organic methods in 2006 and adopting spontaneous fermentation in 2013, they have become one of northern Italy's most respected natural wine estates. The cooperative model means the wines reflect a genuine community effort rather than a single winemaker's vision.
