A village Meursault from Domaine Jean Javillier et Fils, a respected family estate in the heart of Meursault certified organic by Nature et Progrès, vinified with wild yeast fermentation and 12 months on lees in Burgundy barrels without filtration.
Decant for 10 minutes. This wine will improve for 5 to 10 years from a good vintage.
Tasting notes
Golden in the glass. White flowers, a whisper of citrus and stone fruit, and a rich, creamy texture built by barrel-fermented wild yeast and a year on lees. Full on the palate with the characteristic Meursault butteriness alongside a fine acidic backbone and a long, hazelnut-tinged finish. Classic village Meursault.
Goes with
Grilled lobster, scallops, roast chicken with cream sauce, veal, and Comté. One of the world's great food wines.
