About this wine
The entry-level Chianti Classico from Fattoria di Rodano, a blend of Sangiovese with Colorino and Canaiolo from the same certified organic estate that produces the acclaimed Viacosta Riserva, showing the same meticulous farming at a more accessible price point.
Decant for 20 minutes.
Tasting notes
Ruby with purple notes. The nose has truffle, sweet cherry, and earthy red fruit with hints of tobacco. Medium bodied on the palate, with good red cherry fruit, bright acidity, and a clean, focused finish. Classic Chianti Classico character without the weight of a Riserva.
Goes with
Bistecca alla Fiorentina, ragu, grilled lamb, pizza, and aged Pecorino. One of Italy's most versatile food wines.
