Cabernet Sauvignon from Mendoza, where the altitude does what latitude cannot. Achaval-Ferrer built its reputation on old vine Malbec, and applies the same low yield thinking here.
Tasting Notes
An accurate reflection of its variety, delivering a sharp and direct message where the fruit overcomes the mineral nuances, highlighting a juicy texture filled with black and red fruit. Mendoza sits high in the rain shadow of the Andes, and the wide gap between day and night temperature is what keeps the acidity in a wine this ripe.

About the Producer
Achaval-Ferrer was founded in Mendoza in 1998 and made its name with single vineyard Malbecs from very old, ungrafted vines at extremely low yields. The estate works across Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley at elevations between 700 and 1,100 metres.
