About this wine
A pétillant naturel rosé from Calcarius made from Nero di Troia, one of Puglia's great indigenous red varieties, lively sparkling rosé from the limestone plateau of northern Puglia, with red cherry, wild herb, and a dry, refreshing finish.
How it tastes
Serve well chilled at 8 to 10°C. Open carefully.
Tasting notes
Vivid rosé with fine natural bubbles. Nero di Troia brings its characteristic deep colour, red fruit, and firm structure even in rosé form, the pét-nat method keeps it light, fresh, and exuberant. Dry on the finish, with a mineral backbone from the calcareous soils. A distinctive Puglian rosé sparkler.

The producer
Calcarius is the natural wine project of Valentina Passalacqua, made from organic Falanghina, Nero di Troia, Bombino Bianco, and other indigenous varieties grown on the ancient calcareous limestone soils of the Murge plateau in northern Puglia. The estate name comes from the Latin for limestone, reflecting the character of the terroir in every wine.
