A skin-contact Falanghina from Calcarius in Puglia's Murge plateau, the 1-litre orange wine format delivering a litre of amber-hued, textural Puglian white at everyday price, from the calcareous limestone soils that give the estate its name.
Tasting Notes
Amber-gold with natural haze. Falanghina's characteristic stone fruit and floral character given real depth and grip by the skin maceration. Dry and textural on the palate, with mineral precision from the limestone terroir and a long, savoury finish. The zero-sulphur approach keeps it alive and vibrant. One litre of genuinely honest southern Italian wine.

About the Producer
Calcarius is the natural wine project of Valentina Passalacqua, made from organic Falanghina, Nero di Troia, Bombino Bianco, and other indigenous varieties grown on the ancient calcareous limestone soils of the Murge plateau in northern Puglia. The estate name comes from the Latin for limestone, reflecting the character of the terroir in every wine.
