Château Lynch-Bages | Grand Cru Classé

Lynch-Bages is the classed growth that consistently drinks above its rank, so reliably that it has been nicknamed the poor man's Mouton for decades. Pauillac Cabernet at full volume, and one of the most recognisable wines in Bordeaux.

Tasting Notes
A medley of blackcurrant, cigar box and a touch of spice, leading to a powerful and vibrant palate that captures Pauillac's essence. Rich, dense and unmistakably Cabernet led, with the graphite and cedar signature of the commune. Approachable earlier than the first growths that surround it, but with the structure to hold for twenty years or more.

About the Producer
Château Lynch-Bages sits on the Bages plateau just outside the town of Pauillac. The estate takes its name from the Lynch family, Irish émigrés who owned it in the 18th century, and has been in the hands of the Cazes family since 1939. It is widely regarded as one of the great overperformers of the 1855 classification.
