A Vin Jaune from Domaine de la Borde in Arbois-Pupillin, made from 100% Savagnin aged over six years under a natural veil of yeast in old oak barrels — deep golden, intensely nutty, with walnut, curry leaf, saffron, and preserved lemon, one of the Jura's most complex and contemplative wines.
Tasting Notes
Deep golden yellow with shimmering amber reflections. Powerful aromas of walnut, curry leaf, dried fruits, spice, and saline minerality, with hints of roasted almond and subtle oxidative depth. Intense, dry, and beautifully layered on the palate — toasted nuts, saffron, preserved lemon, and baked apple expanding across the palate, supported by firm acidity and the signature savoury oxidative complexity that only genuine Vin Jaune can produce. The finish is long, structured, and profoundly elegant.
