El Septimo Excepcion Esmeralda

Part of El Septimo's Excepcion collection, the Esmeralda is the gordo of the range, a thick ring gauge cigar built to burn slowly and show the blend at its most generous. Like all El Septimo cigars it is made in Costa Rica from long aged tobacco.

This perfect balance is rich, leathery, and has a pleasing bitter sweetness that delivers a fruity aroma of milk chocolate, molasses and orange zest. The construction delivers a creamy smoke, perfect for pairing with a cappuccino or a fine malt.

It is recommended to pair it with an aged cognac, scotch or whisky. The distillation process of these drinks infuses them with a variety of flavours that are enhanced by the ageing in wood barrels. The result is a strong and complex drink. Also pair it with Speyside and some Lowland whiskies, most Irish whiskeys, rums, bourbons, ryes, ports, or a variety of fuller bodied beers.
