Giacosa Fratelli Barbaresco DOCG from Piedmont — garnet red with developing orange hues, an intense bouquet of rose petals, cherries, liquorice, and earthy undertones, elegant and structured with refined tannins and flavours of red berries, dried herbs, and a lingering mineral finish.
Tasting Notes
Garnet red with orange hues developing with age. Intense bouquet of rose petals, cherries, liquorice, and earthy undertones on the nose. Elegant and structured on the palate with refined tannins and flavours of red berries, dried herbs, and a lingering mineral finish. Barbaresco is the more elegant, feminine sibling to Barolo — both from 100% Nebbiolo, but Barbaresco's cooler, more mineral soils in the Langhe produce wines of finesse and perfume alongside impressive depth. Aged minimum 2 years in large Slavonian oak casks.
