A Jura Trousseau from Juravinum's Le Glanon estate, farmed organically on limestone-rich soils, translucent ruby, lifted with red currant, wild strawberry, and rose petal, with silky tannins and that distinctive light-bodied charm that makes Jura reds unlike any other.
Also excellent at 12°C on a warm evening.
Tasting notes
Translucent ruby with a bright youthful rim. Red currant, wild strawberries, rose petals, and soft white pepper on the nose, with a forest herb undertone. Fresh and lively on the palate with silky tannins, crunchy red fruit, subtle spice, and a lifted earthy minerality. Clean, persistent, and delicately structured on the finish. Trousseau is one of the Jura's greatest secrets. This is a compelling introduction to it.
Goes with
Charcuterie, roasted duck, mushroom dishes, Comté, and herb-roasted chicken. Serve slightly chilled for maximum freshness.
