Tasting Notes
Rich and profound on the nose, with white orchard fruit lifted by a slight mineral edge and gentle toasted notes that fold into a complex whole. Time in barrique brings toast and vanilla without smothering the fruit, and pineapple and pear carry through the middle alongside a savoury touch of fennel. The palate has weight and texture where most Rueda has only snap, and it finishes juicy and lemony, which keeps the whole thing fresh rather than heavy. Named among the top ten white wines at The Rueda Masters, where it was the highest scoring dry wine in the competition.

About the Producer
Finca La Capilla was established in 1998 as Bodegas Robeal by Juan Miñón, and built its reputation in Ribera del Duero for dense, low yield reds. This white comes from Rueda, just west across Castilla y León, where the house applies the same barrel driven approach to Verdejo and lands somewhere closer to Burgundy or Bordeaux than to the local template.
