Laphroaig | Oak Select

Laphroaig Oak Select is the most approachable expression in the Laphroaig range, an Islay single malt matured in a combination of casks: first-fill bourbon barrels, new American white oak, Oloroso sherry butts, Pedro Ximénez seasoned hogsheads and quarter casks, then married together. Bottled at 40% ABV.

Tasting's Notes

Opens sweet and rounded before the classic Laphroaig character arrives, dry peat smoke, ash and a coastal, medicinal edge. The European oak brings a richer, fruitier finish. A gentler way into the distillery's unmistakable Islay style.
