Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre is the classic partnership of Châteauneuf-du-Pape and the southern Rhône. Bob Lindquist spent his career proving those grapes belong on California's Central Coast too, long before anyone else was interested.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of red berries, black pepper and a hint of spice. Balanced and juicy on the palate, with raspberry, plum and earthy undertones, leading to a smooth and lingering finish. The Central Coast has the cool Pacific influence that keeps Rhône varieties from turning heavy, which is why the wines from here have more lift and pepper than warmer parts of California.
