Meursault is the richest of the great white wine villages of the Côte de Beaune, the one that gives butter, hazelnut and breadth where Puligny gives tension. It is also the largest, and has no grand cru, which has never held its reputation back.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant pale gold with luminous reflections. Elegant aromas of ripe orchard fruit, pear and apple, layered with toasted almond, hazelnut, butter and subtle vanilla from oak ageing. Rich and full bodied on the palate with a creamy texture balanced by fresh acidity. Citrus, stone fruit and gentle oak lead to a long, refined finish with the classic Meursault minerality underneath.
