Vosne-Romanée is the greatest red wine village on earth, home to Romanée-Conti and La Tâche. Les Chaumes is a premier cru on the lower slope beneath them, and it carries the family resemblance.
Tasting Notes
A seductive nose of red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry, layered with floral hints of violet and rose petal. Subtle notes of clove, vanilla and earthy undertones add complexity. Medium bodied on the palate with silky tannins, lively acidity and flavours of red fruit, black tea and a touch of spice, leading to a long, refined finish. Vosne is known for a distinctive exotic spice character that runs through wines at every level of the village.
