Tasting Notes
Golden yellow with a greenish glint. The nose opens on citrus and fresh grape, with green almond, honey and a touch of vanilla behind, and the delicate floral and lightly spiced pastry notes that mark the Drouhin house style. The palate is tender and fleshy with a genuine texture underneath, rounded and generous without losing its edge, and it finishes long and gently spiced. This is a classic white Burgundy at its most approachable, and the clearest possible introduction to the region.

Food Pairing
An aperitif in its own right, and easy alongside seafood, salmon, sushi, grilled chicken, pesto pasta or a vegetable pizza. Deliberately unfussy food is the point.
Serving
Serve at 11 to 12°C. Best enjoyed young, while the fruit is at its most vivid.
About the Producer
Joseph Drouhin founded the house in Beaune in 1880 at the age of 22, and four generations on the family still runs it. Drouhin holds vineyards across Chablis, the Côte de Nuits, the Côte de Beaune and the Côte Chalonnaise, farmed organically and biodynamically. In the 1970s Robert Drouhin created Laforet as the Burgundy that would reveal Burgundy, drawing on parcels near the top of the slopes close to the forest, and the name has stood for reliable quality ever since.
