Mersel Jaffa Crush, a carbonic still orange wine from Lebanon, deep amber with a slight haze, floral and fragrant with ripe apricot, orange zest, jasmine and honeyed spice, textural and layered with saline minerality and a long, earthy finish.
Tasting Notes
Deep amber-orange with a slight haze. Floral and fragrant on the nose, with ripe apricot, orange zest, jasmine petals and warm honey-laced spices. Textural and layered on the palate, offering stone fruit, citrus peel, dried herbs and subtle tannins framed by saline minerality. The finish is long, earthy and refreshing. Whole-berry carbonic maceration on the Muscat is combined with skin contact Merwah and ageing in amphora, which is what gives it both the lift and the texture.
