About this wine
A Gold medal-winning Chardonnay from Penfolds, sourced from Adelaide Hills and aged on lees, stone fruit and pistachio nougat creaminess from extended lees contact, with upfront oak tannins and long lingering acidity that gives it a delightful phenolic grip.
Open 5 minutes before serving.
Tasting notes
Stone fruits persist amid a pistachio nougat-like creaminess more than likely derived from extended time on yeast lees. Upfront oak tannins and long, lingering acidity combine to create an enticing phenolic grip, enhancing the overall structure of the palate. Gold at the International Wine Challenge, Perth Royal, and Royal Hobart. Delightfully approachable despite its complexity.
Goes with
Chicken, light salads, and fish pie.
