About this wine
The younger, lighter expression of Pittacum's Mencia in Bierzo, made with a shorter 3-month oak ageing and a brighter, fruit-forward style, for everyday drinking rather than the long-term structure of the Aurea or Bierzo Tinto.
Tasting notes
Bright ruby. Elegant aromas of red fruit, cherry, and a gentle floral note. Juicy and fresh on the palate with a clean, fruit-driven finish. Light but not insubstantial, Mencia at its most immediately approachable.
Goes with
Lamb roasts, beef stews, grilled meats, and hearty vegetable dishes. A willing everyday red.
