Plasencia | Cosecha 151

Cosecha means harvest, and Cosecha 151 marks the Plasencia family's 151st continuous tobacco harvest, gathered in Honduras in 2016 and 2017 in what the family considers a banner crop. It is a full Honduran puro, an unusual choice in a market dominated by Nicaraguan leaf, and it makes the case for Honduran tobacco about as clearly as any cigar can.

Smoking Time (Average): La Musica 50-60 Minutes, La Tradicion 60-75 Minutes

Roasted coffee and pecan open the smoke, layered with dark chocolate and prune through the middle, and closing on cinnamon, oak and a dry earth base. Black and white pepper sit behind it all without turning sharp. Medium to full bodied, creamy and clean, with the distinct Honduran terroir handled properly rather than roughly.

Choosing Your Size

La Musica is the robusto, a classic 5 by 50 that keeps the coffee and cocoa notes tight and forward. La Tradicion is the toro, almost an inch longer and four ring gauge wider, which slows the burn and gives the prune, oak and spice in the final third more time to build.
