Poças Tawny Port from the Douro — golden tawny tones from long wood ageing, aromas of smoke and vanilla, combining the fruitiness of young wines with the vanilla characteristic of older wines, soft, light, and balanced on the palate.
Tasting Notes
Golden tawny tones from selected lots with long wood stages. Aromas combining the fruitiness of the new wines and the vanilla characteristic of the older wines — smoke, vanilla, and gentle oxidative notes. Soft, light, and balanced on the palate. Tawny Port gets its colour and nutty complexity from extended ageing in small oak barrels, which allows gradual oxidation and concentration.
