Secret by Leoube from Château Léoube on the Côtes de Provence — distinctly pale with a delicate pear aroma, dry and assured with a finely textured palate, slightly exotic with herbs, fennel, and aniseed beneath, persistent and warming with a hint of white pepper ensuring a dry, mouthwatering finish. 90 points Wine Enthusiast.
Tasting Notes
Distinctly pale and with the most delicate of pear aromas. Assured and effortless on the palate, remarkable for its texture and sensation in the mouth. Made from lower yields, it is delicately scented, cool, and yet underlaid with slightly more exotic aromas that betray its Provençal origins — herbs, fennel, a touch of aniseed. Finely textured (Cabernet Sauvignon contributing structure), persistent and warming, without being overtly alcoholic. A hint of white pepper balances the fruit, ensuring a dry, mouthwatering finish.
