Tasting notes
Aromas of roses, strawberries, and wild cherries on the nose with intense hints of dark chocolate and cinnamon. Light body in the mouth with grippy tannins and refreshing acidity. Mavro is Cyprus's most planted indigenous red variety. At altitude in the Pitsilia mountains it produces wines of genuine character and freshness, quite different from the heavier, sun-baked versions grown at lower elevations.
