An unusual skin-contact rosé from Christian Binner in Alsace, made from Gewurztraminer with extended maceration — technically a rosé but with the amber hue, aromatic richness, and textural grip of an orange wine.
Tasting Notes
Pale amber-rose in the glass. The nose is immediately Gewurztraminer: lychee, rose petal, ginger, and spice, given depth and complexity by the skin contact. On the palate it is dry and textural with a pleasant grippy tannin, the Gewurztraminer aromatics in full bloom, and a long, savoury, spiced finish. A wine that confounds expectations in the most pleasurable way.

Domaine Christian Binner is a biodynamic family estate in Colmar, Alsace, with roots going back several generations. Christian and his family have become one of the defining voices of natural wine in the region, farming their vineyards on diverse limestone, granite, and clay soils without chemicals and vinifying with zero additions.
