Description

A pét-nat rosé from Kamara Pure in northern Greece, blending Xinomavro, Malagousia, and Assyrtiko — bottled during primary fermentation, refermented with Xinomavro must, and left undisgorged for lees texture and a brisk, fruit-forward sparkle.

Tasting Notes
Lively and brisk on the nose with fresh citrus, red fruit, and a cool snap of watermelon. Strawberry and yeast dominate the palate. The crown cap holds in the natural fizz, the undisgorged lees give it broader palate weight and a creamy texture. A Greek pét-nat that uses three very different varieties to real effect.

Quick Facts

  • Grapes: Xinomavro, Malagousia, Assyrtiko
  • Origin: Greece, Kamara, Oraiokastro Thessaloniki (140m altitude, silty clay loam soils)
  • Style: Pét-nat rosé, zero added sulphur, undisgorged
  • Winemaking: Primary fermentation halted by cooling, settled off primary lees, refermented in bottle with Xinomavro must, spontaneous fermentation, indigenous yeast, not disgorged, no protein stabilisation, no fining or filtration, zero sulphur
  • Suitable for vegetarians and vegans

Food Pairing
Aperitif, mezze, light fish dishes, grilled halloumi, and fresh cheeses. Best enjoyed young.

Serving
Serve well chilled at 6-8°C. Open carefully and pour slowly. Some natural haze and sediment are expected.

About the Producer
Kamara Pure is a small natural wine estate in northern Greece, farming organically in Oraiokastro, Thessaloniki, with Xinomavro and Assyrtiko as their focus varieties. The estate is part of a growing movement of Greek natural wine producers working to rehabilitate the country's exceptional indigenous varieties and ancient winemaking traditions.
