Description

An extraordinary Muscadet from a unique plot of serpentinite rock, delivering thrilling crystalline citrus and a mineral precision that puts this far beyond any ordinary white wine.

Tasting Notes

Pale gold with bright clarity in the glass. The nose is lifted and precise, with aromas of citrus zest and a flinty, mineral edge. On the palate it is clean, fresh, and medium bodied, with crystalline citrus fruit flavours and an exceptional mineral depth that the distinctive serpentinite terroir provides. The finish is long and precise, with remarkable length for the appellation.

About the Producer

Domaine Luneau-Papin was founded in the 1990s, uniting two centuries-old winemaking families through the marriage of Pierre Luneau and Monique Papin. Based in Le Landreau in the heart of Muscadet country, the estate has been farming the same land since the early 18th century. Pierre and Monique were pioneers in bottling single-parcel Muscadet, highlighting the diversity of the region's soils. Today their son Pierre-Marie and his wife Marie run the domaine, farming 20 plots biodynamically and producing wines that are widely regarded as among the finest and most terroir-faithful expressions of Muscadet in existence.
