A full-bodied, organically farmed Primitivo from the Gioia del Colle zone in Puglia, where the rocky limestone plateau tempers the southern sun and produces a Primitivo of real freshness and mineral character rather than jammy excess.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red with violet flecks. The nose is typically fruity with aromas of black cherry, plum, and spice, balanced by balsamic notes and a mineral edge. On the palate there is a perfect balance of smoothness, freshness, and minerality, with soft tannins and a distinctive toasted almond aftertaste on the long finish. The hallmark of Gioia del Colle Primitivo at its finest.

About the Producer
Fatalone is a family estate in the Gioia del Colle region of Puglia, with roots going back to the 19th century. The first bottles under the Fatalone label were produced in 1987 by the Petrera family, who had long sold their wine in bulk. Certified organic and biodynamic, the estate uses only indigenous yeasts, applies music therapy during barrel ageing, and is powered entirely by solar energy, making it a zero-emission winery. Their Primitivo is widely regarded as one of the benchmark expressions of the Gioia del Colle appellation.
