A biodynamic Bourgueil from the Perrieres terroir, Catherine and Pierre Breton's most concentrated single-parcel Cabernet Franc, grown on limestone and clay soils with vines averaging 40 years, and aged in large foudres to express the full depth of this exceptional site.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with good concentration. The nose is more structured and complex than the Trinch, with aromas of dark red and black fruit, violet, graphite, and earthy mineral notes from the limestone clay. On the palate it is medium to full bodied with a firmer, more structured tannin and a longer, more layered finish. This is Bourgueil with serious ageing potential.

About the Producer
Catherine and Pierre Breton are fifth-generation winemakers from Restigné, east of Bourgueil, with a family history on the land dating to 1886. Taking over the domaine in the late 1980s, they converted to organic farming in 1991 and were among the first Loire Valley producers to adopt biodynamic viticulture, beginning in 1994. Working 17 hectares across Bourgueil, Chinon, and Vouvray, they vinify using only indigenous yeasts, no chemical additives, and very low sulphur, producing wines that are deeply expressive of their specific terroir and built to age gracefully.
