About this wine
The lighter, more accessible sibling to Denavolo's Catavela, still made from indigenous Emilia-Romagna varieties with skin contact, but with a shorter maceration that produces a wine of fresh, immediate drinkability with the same wild, honest character.
Slightly chilled for maximum freshness. Open 10 minutes before serving.
Tasting notes
Pale amber with a light natural haze. The nose is fresh and aromatic with notes of citrus peel, dried herbs, apricot, and a light nutty warmth from skin contact. On the palate it is medium bodied, textural, and lively, with a refreshing acidity and a pleasantly savoury, slightly bitter finish. More immediately approachable than the Catavela but no less interesting.
Goes with
Works beautifully with salumi, aged cheeses, grilled fish, and rustic Emilian food. A more food-friendly entry to Denavolo's world.

The producer
Denavolo is the project of Giulio Armani, winemaker at the renowned La Stoppa estate in Emilia-Romagna, who created this label as a personal exploration of the region's ancient indigenous grape varieties. Working from his own small vineyard in the Trebbia valley, Giulio produces wines of extreme originality and uncompromising natural philosophy, with extended skin macerations and no additions of any kind.
