A Chianti Classico Riserva from the Viacosta vineyard of Fattoria di Rodano, an organically farmed estate in the heart of Chianti Classico producing Sangiovese of genuine quality and the kind of savoury, food-friendly character that makes this zone one of Italy's great wine regions.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby with garnet notes. The nose is classic Chianti Classico with aromas of sour cherry, dried violet, tobacco, leather, and a hint of earthy tannin. On the palate it is medium to full bodied with a firm, drying tannin typical of well-aged Sangiovese, bright acidity, and a long, savoury, slightly bitter finish. Built for the table and for the cellar.
