About this wine
A crisp, fragrant Sicilian white from organically farmed Catarratto, harvested at night to preserve freshness and made with as little intervention as possible.
The slight cloudiness in the glass is normal and expected for an unfiltered wine.
Tasting notes
Deep hazy gold in the glass, the cloudiness a natural result of being unfiltered and unfined. The nose is fragrant and fresh with aromas of white peach, lemon zest, chamomile, and a touch of oriental spice. On the palate it is medium bodied and lively, with flavours of ripe orchard fruit, a subtle marzipan note, and a pleasantly salty, mineral finish that keeps you coming back.
Goes with
Excellent alongside grilled fish, seafood pasta, shellfish, soft cheeses, and vegetarian dishes. A versatile everyday white that works beautifully as an aperitif too.

The producer
Cantine Rallo has been producing wine in Western Sicily since 1860, originally celebrated for its Marsala. When the Vesco family took over in the 1990s they pivoted toward certified organic farming and a more natural approach to winemaking. Since 2010 all wines have been produced and bottled at origin. Working from vineyards in Alcamo, Marsala, and Pantelleria, they harvest at night to preserve freshness and use modern temperature-controlled fermentations to produce bright, honest wines that reflect the best of Western Sicily.
